Originating in a remote village in northern Luzon, the largest island in the Philippines, hapao is a traditional pattern used for bags and baskets. Over time, the colors used and shapes formed changed, though always emphasizing the durability and natural beauty of this amazing fiber. Each piece in the Artesia collection is finished in beautiful honey brown, calling out the texture and intricacy of the weave and bringing warm color to the table.
