Monarch Shiitake 60" Round Dining Table

Our Monarch round dining table is handcrafted using centuries-old techniques in a modern way. Rare lengths of solid walnut chosen for their beautiful cathedral graining, are united on top with traditional Chinese butterfly joinery without using nails or screws. ^ Designed by Maria Yee, the dining table features full-length horizontal planks are assembled with wood-on-wood joinery techniques that respect the living nature of the wood, allowing it to expand and contract with seasonal changes in humidity. The round top's signature exposed butterfly joinery and intersecting "X" pedestal base evidence the exemplary craftsmanship that goes into this organic modern table. Monarch's unique shiitake finish, a subtle blend of browns and greys, creates a fresh neutral tone that mixes well with other wood finishes. A special water-based topcoat is entertaining-friendly with stain- and heat- resistant qualities. The Monarch 60" Round Dining Table is a Crate and Barrel exclusive.
