Artist Rachel Pavlic uses neutral bands of watercolor to describe the broad vistas and subtle beauty of central Wisconsin, where she lived for a number of years. Transparent washes allow the white of the paper to illuminate the view creating a sense of atmosphere and space. This giclée print on paper of the original watercolor composition sits on a floating white mat, surrounded by a clean wood frame finished in satin espresso.
Rachel Pavilic received her formal art training at Southern Illinois University. Now based in central Wisconsin, she takes inspiration from the state's lush farm and woodlands in works that have been exhibited throughout the Midwest.
