Taft is a sophisticated interpretation of boucle textures popular in the upholstery design of the 1950's and 60's. The fabric is a blending of subtle tones, hues, and textures and makes use of a new generation of high tech american made yarns. The fabric is further enhanced by weaving into it an intricate crepe weave pattern. This gives the cloth its sculpted hand woven appearance. This distinctive fabric is tailor made to work well on just about any configuration of furniture or room decor given its versatile styling. Color selection alone would be the governing factor as to whether it would be comfortable in a posh or more casual living setting. The yarns used are solution dyed polypropylene which makes the fabric inherently stain resistant. Solution dyed yarns are a like a carrot - if you cut it, the color goes all the way through, versus other types of yarns that have color only on the surface.
